Winter is coming up soon and I don’t know about you, but the cold weather months do NOT play well with my skin. Usually, around November I have to start shifting some of my daily & weekly skincare for more moisturizing products.
Even though you may not be seeing anyone in person for the holidays, you still will have SO many zoom calls and virtual holiday hangs. So it’s more important than ever for you to treat yourself to an awesome winter skin care routine. Keep reading for my current favorites!
Treat Yo'self To These 9 Winter Skincare Essentials
Even though you may not be seeing anyone in person for the holidays, you still will have SO many zoom calls and virtual holiday hangs. So it's more important than ever for you to treat yourself to an awesome winter skin care routine. Keep reading for my current favorites winter skincare essentials.
I'm a huge sheet mask addict. It's half because I like how these masks can pack a direct punch of moisturizer when my face needs some TLC, but I LOVE the routine that comes with them. A glass of wine paired with a Dr. Jart face mask for my dry skin plus a romantic comedy movie ( and sometimes even a new set of press-on nails!) for a little self-care time. It's good for mental health too.
Bio-oil is truly a total winter body care product. I actually use this year-round but find it's extra important in my winter skin care routine for dry skin, especially on my legs and arms. Darn eczema, you make everything rashes and dry in the winter! But Bio-Oil keeps it soft and hydrated. Good for sensitive skin, too if you're looking for a body moisturizer for winter that'll play nice with your skin.
I think this is one of the best daily winter skin care drug store beauty products out there. It's super thick (making it a great face cream for cold weather) but also under $30 and lasts me about 2 months. I put this on in the mornings and night in the wintertime since my face usually needs extra moisture this time of year. Read my full review with before and after photos here.
I swear this face mask is magic. Whenever my face starts getting patchy I whip out this baby facial mask. It's basically like an at-home peel. You put it on for 20 minutes and rinse off. I swear I can tell a difference right away but usually reap the most benefits the next day.
When the air is dry I find that the skin around my eyes, which is already sensitive and thin, can get super sad and dry. So, to combat dark circles and tight skin, I love to use an under-eye mask about once a week. Totally one of those essential skin care products you may forget about. I've been really into these Patchology ones.
I go through these like hot cakes in the winter. I HATE the feeling of dry lips. These are always my go-to winter skincare products to stock up in bulk. I like to tuck some chapstick around the apartment, in purses, my car, etc.
My favorite holiday activity is drinking wine and watching Christmas movies. And of course, that means my face is always breaking out due to the increased sugar levels. I've been using Hers Acne Cream for a few months now and totally in love. I know I'll still be breaking out again this Christmas but it'll be WAY less intense thanks to this acne cream. Read my full Hers cream review here!
I love this gentle cleanser that's infused with skin-nourishing rosewater that washes my face while keeping skin hydrated still. Always a good skincare for winter tool to keep in the bathroom or shower (where ever you wash your face!) Versed is a newish brand available at Target. It's all vegan and almost everything is under $20 making it super affordable. Read my whole Versed Skincare review post here.
I love evenhealy skincare. It's organic, female-founded and based out of LA. Their Hydrosol has been a go-to skincare product of mine for years now and I use it all seasons but go through it especially fast in the winter when the heater dries my skin out. This mist makes me face dewy and soft! Read my full brand feature here.
Thanks for sharing this tip. I’m sure this routine will help me in getting the skin I desire.
