Healdsburg is always my go-to California wine country town for girl trips. I adore the wine tasting rooms here (stunning views, awesome staff, amazing Russian River Pinot *drool*.) Plus, downtown Healdsburg is charming AF.
This past weekend I ran away to Sonoma wine country with my friend Amy and we stayed at H2 Hotel Healdsburg for the first time, and I already know it’s going to be our go-to hotel for future girls weekends. Keep reading for more photos and my hotel review!

Travel Hack: Save Money At H2 Hotel Healdsburg
Never book full price for a hotel if you can help it. There’s always a way to travel hack anything. My friend found an AMAZING TravelZoo deal for a Sunday night. $200 for a patio suite room that includes FREE breakfast, FREE valet parking, $25 bar credit and FREE in-room snacks (that are really good, no Costco off-brand stuff here.)
If you can’t book on TravelZoo (deals are always changing) I recommend booking on Hotels.com so you can rack up those free night rewards. Every 10 nights you book, you get one night free at any hotel of your choosing (and I always choose to use that free night on the fancy luxury hotels!) They also usually have massive discounts here, too.

What I Loved About H2 Hotel Healdsburg
First off, it’s in the perfect location to access all the good stuff downtown. There are some Healdsburg hotels that are further out so you have to drive or Uber to get downtown, but here is in walking distance to my favorites like Campo Fina, Dry Creek Kitchen, Wurst, Spoon Bar and Flying Goat Coffee.
I loved the property, especially the back patio where the restaurant is. Very dreamy at night next to the firepits and under the twinkle lights. If you wanted a rooftop experience, head nextdoor to the Harmon Guest House, they have a great rooftop bar!
The rooms are bright and modern. I adored our private balcony which faced the treeline, making it feel like w were in a forest, not literally smack downtown Healdsburg. Waking up to the sound of birds chirping and sipping in-room espresso was amazing.
Our room also had a really deep bathtub that my friend and I could both squeeze into for a make-shift hto tub. The only thing I think this property is missing is an outdoor hot tub. They do have a pool, but it’s a bit a small. I don’t think this is a property you would be spending a lot of time lounging pool-side.
We don’t have a dog, but H2Hotel is one of the few dog-friendly hotels in Sonoma County. I did get to pet a cute chonk nugget in the hallway which made my morning.

Coming to Healdsburg from a different part of the United States? It really doesn’t matter if you land at the Oakland or San Francisco International Airport. They’re about the same distance away!
I think H2 Hotel Healdsburg is perfect for a girls trip! I’ve also stayed at Hotel Les Mars which is on the other side of the square, but that property is much more suited for romance. H2 is great for friends just escaping to get their wine on!
