I’ve been lusting over Everlane Day Heels for years. Ever since an old co-worker of mine showed up to the office sporting a pair of these minimal block heels raving about how comfy they are, I’ve been tempted.
But, they’re also $145 and that’s a lot for one pair of heels. Especially since the older I get, the less I find myself wanting to wear any sort of heels at all.
But DANG, they do be looking cute, and if there’s really a pair of heels out there that are comfortable enough to wear all day (or tromp around these San Francisco hills in) I want those in my wardrobe.
Everlane Day Heel Review: Are These Insta-Famous Heels Worth Your Money?
I love the transparency Everlane as in their brand and how they focus on sustainable, slow fashion. I first got wind of their Day Heels almost 4 years ago now and they still carry this style – that’s awesome!! It’s rare to find brands that are truly slow these days.
But still, $145 for a pair of shoes… especially after 2020, let’s be honest: who knows when the next time I really need heels is going to be.
But then I saw there was an Everlane Day Heel Sale happening and it was GOOD. I got them for $65 a pair, which is over 60% off!!
What Day Heel I Bought
I grabbed myself a pair of the Black Leather Day Heel in size 9. They also offer a suede option, which I have not tried. I’m super attracted to the red pair of heels (I love a pop of color!) but I already own a pair of red Rothy’s so I decided a classic black pair of heels would have a better, more long-term place in my closet.
SHOP MY DAY HEEL
They shipped pretty fast considering winter typical delays, and I while normally gravitate towards pointed toes on shoes, I love the ballet-inspired look of these heels with a rounded toe. Minimal, yet timeless.
Complaint: Day Heels Are Comfy, But Sizing Is A Bit Off
My main complaint is that my Day Heels are a bit tight. That’s actually my bad – I failed to read the sizing properly when I bought my pair.
I knew these sell out fast, especially at such a great price point, so I just chucked a size 9 into my cart and hit purchase.
My size 9s are pinchy on my toes. I’m not sure if I can break them in or not. I wore them around my apartment for a couple of hours the day they arrived and I can attest – they are pretty comfortable in every way but my toes being tight.
I haven’t tried these much outside my home other than running errands (lol thanks pandemic) but I think if I had a 9.5 or 10, these babies would be my go-to heel.
They have a classic look and go with pretty much any outfit I have put together.
With jeans? Yup. Business attire? Totally. Dresses and skirts? LOVE. Casually looks I’m trying to dress up? The Day Heels are just the trick for elevating my Athflow outfits.
Everlane Shoes Need To Form To Your Foot
After writing this post, I ended up buying another pair of Everlane shoes. I grabbed myself their Modern Day Glove flat and I had the same problem as with the heel: they were a little small at first.
But I stuck with them and walked all over San Francisco in them. It took a couple of months but the leather finally molded around my foot and now they fit so perfectly.
So, let’s say you got a pair of Everlane heels or modern loafers for Christmas. If you wear them a lot, but February they should be perfect.
Everlane Day Heel Review: Are They Worth It?
Despite my heels being a little too small (again, my bad) I really love these heels and think they are absolutely worth it if you are in need of a heel you can truly wear all day.
Will your feet still hurt at the end of the day? Probably – they are heels after all. These aren’t a pair of flats.
But your feet will be far less sore, trust me. And these shoes are built to last, so you can trust they’ll be with you for years to come. I know it’s a bit cliche, but Everlane pieces really are investments.
The price tag is high, but the quality is high as well. You’ll be getting a LOT of wear out of your shoes.
And yes, in case you are wondering, I’m returning my pair for the moment because they are too small on me and I just don’t have the energy to break them in right now and I’d rather just trade them in for a better size.
I’ll be buying a new pair in size 9.5 or 10 because once this pandemic is over, GIRL, I plan on running around Paris or London sporting these cute AF heels and living my best life.
Do you own a pair of Day Heels? I’d love to hear your thoughts (good or bad)! Drop a comment so everyone can see. Got questions? Leave a comment or DM me on Instagram @thewhimsysoul and I’ll try to help.

This blog is really informative. Thanks for sharing!
I have to say I love Shein. 2 days to a week shipping, honest reviews as I’ve left plenty myself and I always go back to see if they’ve been posted, which they have. I’ve bought 2 bags one of which I have used everyday for over 12 months with no problems. I’ve bought shoes which have been great. My knitted poncho and jumper are my winter favourites along with my coat. I’ve bought some fantastic underwear though I had a bra that was too big but couldn’t return it. I’m from Australia and all the clothes and shoes in the major department stores also come from China, Shein has way more variety and choice as far as I’m concerned. I find the clothes are usually on the large size for me as I buy from the curve section and from your pics you should as well. Cheers
Sorry, I was replying to your post about Shein. I don’t know how it ended up here!
