The Oregon Coast is one of the most beautiful places in the United States, in my opinion. Some of the best sunsets I’ve seen were on Oregon Coast vacations, perched upon a cliffside with ocean views or down a beach itself. I’ve been to Oregon so many times know that we live in California and boy, let me tell you, there are some really cool Airbnbs here.

BUT, you have to dig for them. Don’t worry – I did all the hard work for you! Keep scrolling for 12 of the most unique Oregon Coast Airbnb vacation rentals for a truly magical getaway!

12 Insanely Unique Airbnbs on the Oregon Coast

>> Got a question about Oregon Coast Airbnbs that you need answered quickly? DM me on Instagram @thewhimsysoul and I’ll be happy to help!

I judge a cool Airbnb rental based on style, decor, location, price and other special amenities for guests. Basically, if the cabin or Airbnb is a destination in itself, then I want to go there (and recommend it to you!) Otherwise, I usually opt for hotels.

This ultimate mega-awesome Airbnb Oregon Coast list covers everything from the Northern Oregon Coast to the Southern Oregon border so you’re sure to find the perfect house for your destination. Or, perhaps, you’re doing a road trip down Hwy 1 making stops along all the cute seaside towns? Because honestly, that sounds heavenly — each night a new cool Oregon Airbnb, each day stuffing your face with seafood after coastal bluff hikes.

Everything on this list are Airbnbs I’ve personally stayed at or have on my bucket list! Let’s go!

Hobbit Glamping House

Location: Bandon
Guests: Up to 2
Price: $88 per night

OMG OMG! A Hobbit House Airbnb on the Oregon Coast, yes, please!! I would make the drive up from San Francisco just to stay in this cute, tiny lil hobbit glamping home! It's located on 40 acres outside Bandon, which is our favorite coastal town (I love their cheese factory!)

This hobbit house is the ultimate glamping site. The bathroom is detached and there are outdoor showers to use. The ranch has tons of trails and animals you can visit while staying. Past guests love how clean this place is and the owners who are reported to be super nice. I've seen a similar hobbit Airbnb but in California so I love that there's on in the PNW, too!

Arch Cape Loft Near Cannon Beach

Location: Arch Cape
Guests: Up to 2
Price: $150 per night

This contemporary-chic North Oregon Coast Airbnb is bright, airy and merges the best of Airbnb and hotels. Inside you'll find a kitchenette, cool decor, a king-size bed and a balcony. Outside there's a shared patio area for other guests of the building so you can meet others over the BBQ or a shuffleboard game. Or, just walk one block over to the ocean (not beachfront but pretty dang close!)

This makes a hip place to call home after a day of exploring Cannon Beach, a bit north of Arch Cape. Airbnbs on Cannon Beach Oregon can be very pricey, this is a more affordable (and better designed) alternative!

Heartland Treehouse With Tubs

Location: Langlois
Guests: Up to 2
Price: $146per night

This treehouse is high on my Oregon Airbnb bucket list. I mean, just look at that outdoor tub!! I would spend all evening soaking in that under the stars with a glass of wine and cheese from nearby Bandon.

This treehouse is off the grid, but has a hot plate, mini-fridge, bbq, a few dishes and pans for cooking. There's a bathroom and shower, too. Come rest under the trees for a night or two!

WildSpring Guest Habitat

Location: Port Orford
Guests: Up to 4
Price: $208 per night

This is hands-down our favorite Oregon coast rentals! If fairies lived in Oregon they would live here at the Wildsprings Guest Habitat under 100+ trees and lush ferns. My favorite perk of this spot is the hot tub that has ocean views (such a nice way to unwind!)

There are 5 small cottages to rent, each feels like a friendly home with a small living room area with seating, a bedroom and bathroom. Rooms have fridges but there is a guest hall with a fully equipped kitchen, games and lounging area. I have a whole post with more photos from our stay at Wildspring you should look at to learn more!

Modern Neahkahnie Beach House

Location: Nehalem
Guests: Up to 6
Price: $329 per night

If you're on the hunt for a chic, modern house that can fit the whole crew, this is it!! Everything about this mid-century modern house is amazing and thoughtful. Past guests love the eco-friendly home and bath products on the inside, and how it's just steps away from the beach.

Surf Yurt W/ Ocean Views

Location: Otter Rock
Guests: Up to 4
Price: $156 per night

I love glamping and this yurt makes the perfect oceanfront home (or, rent in this case!) on the Oregon Coast near Lincoln City. It overlooks Devils Punchbowl Beach (with easy public beach access) and is within walking distance to the small town's village centre, restaurants and cafes, along with other beaches and trails.

While the Yurt is equipped with a full kitchen, bathroom, gas stove, WiFi, BBQ, outdoor shower and surfboard racks, you have to bring your own bedding and towels. It can fit up to 4 people for the ultimate beach house escape. And, it's pet friendly!

Covered Wagon Ranch

Location: Tillamook
Guests: Up to 4
Price: $44 per night

Every wonder what it was like to be part of the Oregon Trail and sleep in an old fashion covered wagon? Well, now you can know! HOW COOL IS THIS?!

This wagon is a glamping wagon in a park of other covered wagons. there's a fire pit for cooking and a shared bathroom. 100% putting this on my list for whenever we finally get to visit the famous Tillamook Cheese Factory!

Lighthouse With Hot Tub

Location: Gold Beach
Guests: Up to 2
Price: $113

How cool is this lighthouse hybrid Airbnb?! The outside is charming, sure, but the real highlight may actually be the hot tub out back that has sweeping views of the cove and Humbug Mountain. The inside is cozy and charming, totally a place I would want to curl in with a good book in after hiking the Natural Bridges. If you're looking for an Airbnb Oregon Coast with Hot Tub, this is your spot!

This is a pet-friendly rental so you can bring your dog for an extra fee, too!

Sandbug Tiny Home Near Beach

Location: Waldport
Guests: Up to 4
Price: $132 per night

We adore this rustic-chic tiny home in Tiny Tranquility park (footsteps from the beach!) Sandbug comes with a fully equipped kitchen, two beds and plenty of counter space. Since it's part of a tiny home park, there's a main lodge with TVs, ping pong tables and more !

I think this would be a great Airbnb to rent if you are thinking of buying yourself a tiny home in the future as they kinda do it all right. You can get so many ideas!

Treehouse With Waterfall!

Location: Gold Beach
Guests: Up to 4
Price: $314 per night

I am a sucker for Treehouse Airbnbs and this is maybe the most whimsical of the Oregon coast cabin rentals! This gorg treehouse is nestled in a gully overlooking a creek and a 60-foot waterfall. There is no wifi in the house, but there is a chic tub, power from a generator, a fridge, loft bed and tons of cool decor.

This Airbnb is actually on the property for a hotel and you get access to a complimentary breakfast and hotel amenities, too! It's a win-win when exploring the Gold Beach area.

Hideout Lotus Bell Tent

Location: Langlois
Guests: Up to 2
Price: $99 per night

Another whimsical glamping tent just 10 minutes from the beach. Past guests love the little touches the host provides (like farm fresh eggs from the chickens on property!) There's a hammock for your to swing in with a glass fo wine and book. On a clear night you can easily stargaze here, too!

The tent has a queen bed, kitchenette, outdoor shower, detached bathroom, fire pit, and fireplace inside if it's cold.

Newport Sternwheel Riverboat

Location: Newport
Guests: Up to 2
Price: $213 per night

If you're looking for a romantic getaway to the Oregon Coast, then booking at a cabin on the Newport Belle riverboat is going to be ah-mazing! Happy hour and a three-course breakfast are included in your rate so you can really just sit back and relax in these modern, recently renovated rooms.

Newport is a port town (hence the name) so I think using a boat as your home base is the perfect way to explore the city!

Keep in mind that property price is through the roof if it’s right on the water so it’s rare to find an Airbnb location directly on the beach. But there are a few on this list that are a short walk to the beach! Also keep in mind that there aren’t any huge major cities on the Oregon Coast, so that means you’ll need to rely on your car to drive around.

I think Oregon is fun to visit any time of year, but I think the best time to visit the Oregon Coast may actually be the winter. Like San Francisco weather, October is usually the warmest and sunniest, but that also means there’s a lot of crowds. The winters here are mild and bring far fewer crowds, which I love.
